Mawei
Spend half a day in Mawei to see Foochow Arsenal Culture City and walk the river promenade; otherwise skip.
Mawei is a small port district of Fuzhou, 20 km southeast of the city centre. Its main attractions are the historic Foochow Arsenal sites, a riverside promenade and easy ferry links to Matsu. One half‑day covers the museums and a walk; a full day allows a ferry trip to Langqi Island.
