Get around
You need a car. Mars is compact and walkable inside the borough — sidewalks and marked crossings on the main streets — but pavements stop at the borough line, so anything beyond town means driving. From Pittsburgh take I-279 to I-79 north, exit at Cranberry and follow Route 228 east. From Butler take Route 8 south, then Route 228. Parking in town is free and easy.
