- Türkiye (Turkey) ↗At mosques cover shoulders and knees, take your shoes off at the door, and women carry a headscarf; do not walk in front of people praying.
- Türkiye (Turkey) ↗Yellow taxis must run the meter; agree nothing else, or use a ride-hailing app that shows the fare upfront.

Marmara is one enormous city and three excursions. Moving hotels between the old city and the Asian side burns the mornings; keep the room, cross the Bosphorus on a ferry, and come back to the same bed.
