Manistique
Stop for a meal or a night on a Lake Michigan road trip: the boardwalk and Schoolcraft County Museum fill 2–3 hours. Not a destination on its own.
Manistique is a small Upper Peninsula town on Lake Michigan, best as a break on US 2 between Escanaba and St. Ignace. The lakefront boardwalk, a local museum and a nearby historic state park are the main draws. Most travellers pass through in under a day.
