Mamuju
Skip Mamuju unless you have a specific reason to be in West Sulawesi: the city is a regional transport hub with limited tourist infrastructure, best used as a 1-night stopover en route to Tana Toraja or the Togean Islands.
Mamuju is the capital of West Sulawesi, a quiet coastal city with a few beaches, caves and waterfalls within reach. It has no major sights that draw international travellers, and most visitors pass through on the way to Tana Toraja or the Togean Islands. One night is enough if you need to break a journey; two nights only if you plan day trips to the waterfalls and caves.
