Malax is a small Swedish-speaking municipality on the Ostrobothnian coast, 25 km south of Vaasa. Its main draw is Brinkens museum, a local history collection in a former schoolhouse. Most travellers pass through on the way to Närpes or Kristinestad rather than staying overnight. The adjacent Korsnäs is even smaller.
