Maibang
মাইবং
Maibang is a half-day stop for the Stone House and inscriptions, not a base. One night if you want a slow walk by the river; otherwise pass through on the train.
Maibang (also Maibong) was the capital of the Dimasa kingdom. The Stone House (Ek Patthar Ghar) by the river and the Maibang Inscriptions are the main sights. The town is small, quiet and best visited as a stop between Haflong and Diphu on the Lumding–Silchar line.
