Mahoba
Half a day is enough for Mahoba: see the Sun temple and the Jain carvings on Gokhar hill, then move on to Jhansi or Khajuraho.
Mahoba is a small Bundelkhand town with two clear draws: a 9th-century granite Sun temple in Pratihara style and 24 rock-cut Jain tirthankara images on Gokhar hill. Most visitors pass through on the road between Jhansi and Khajuraho, spending 3–4 hours on the sights.
