Mahabubnagar
Half a day is enough: see Koil Sagar and Manyamkonda temple, then head back to Hyderabad or continue to Alampur.
Mahabubnagar is a small town in West Telangana, about 100 km southwest of Hyderabad. Its main draws are the Koil Sagar lake and temple complex and the hilltop Manyamkonda shrine. Most travellers use it as a quick stop on the way to Alampur or Raichur, not a base.
