Luleå

Luleå sits at the mouth of the Lule River, about 110 km south of the Arctic Circle, and works as a coastal stop between Umeå and the Lapland rail line. The two things that justify the trip are Gammelstad, the UNESCO-listed church town 10 km north-west, and the archipelago, which is reachable by tour boat in summer and by ski or ice in winter.
