Lian
Skip Lian as a destination unless you want a quiet beach day at Matabungkay: half a day from Manila, or a stop between Nasugbu and Calatagan.
Lian is a small coastal municipality in western Batangas, best known for the white-sand beach at Matabungkay. It has no major sights beyond the beach and the Archiocesan Shrine of St. John the Baptist. Most travellers pass through on the way to Calatagan or Nasugbu; a half-day beach stop is enough if you are already on the coast.
