A car is the practical choice: sights, motels and barbecue pits are spread along US 64, US 52 and I-85. Uptown itself is walkable in 10–15 minutes end to end. PART Route 9 links Lexington with Thomasville and High Point, and a limited local bus runs around town; both are weekday-oriented, so check times before relying on them.
