Skip Lecompte unless you are driving I-49 and want a pie stop at Lea's Lunchroom: 30 minutes off the road, no overnight needed.

Lecompte is a tiny Louisiana town (population 1,200) that calls itself the Pie Capital of Louisiana thanks to Lea's Lunchroom, a 1928 roadside diner. There is nothing else to see or do. It works as a 30-minute food break between Alexandria and Opelousas, not as a destination.
