Lebanon is a small Warren County seat of about 20,000 people between Cincinnati and Dayton, with a compact 19th-century downtown on Broadway and a handful of sights that sit outside the centre. Most travellers pass through on I-75 or I-71, spend an afternoon on the historic main street, eat at the Golden Lamb, and move on. Two nights only pays off if you add Fort Ancient, a skydive or a golf round.

Get around
A car is the default: sights are spread along US-42, OH-48 and OH-63 and there is no useful local bus for visitors. Downtown itself is walkable in 10–15 minutes end to end. Cincinnati is about 35–45 min south on I-71, Dayton about 40 min north on I-75.
