Land O Lakes is a census-designated place in Pasco County, part of the Big Bend Coast region of Florida, about 24 miles north of Tampa International Airport. It has no walkable downtown: it is mostly suburbs, big-box shops and highways, with parks, a few lakefront restaurants and a growing new district called Angeline in the north-west. Come here if you have a car, want cheap suburban hotels near Tampa, or are using it as a stop on US-41 between Tampa and Brooksville. Do not come here for a resort town or a beach.

Get around
A car is the practical choice: buses are slow, run only on the main roads, and most shops are a drive from the hotels. Pasco County Public Transportation (GoPasco) covers the county and connects to Pinellas and Hillsborough services. Walking and cycling are not recommended on most roads — many lack sidewalks — though there are bike lanes on SR-54 and US-41.
