Lambasingi
లంబసింగి
Half-day stop from Visakhapatnam or Narsipatnam: go for the cool air and coffee plantations, not for sights. One night only if you want to see the fog at dawn.
Lambasingi is a small tribal village in the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh, known as the coldest place in the state. At 1,210 m, winter temperatures can drop to 0 °C. The main draw is the cool climate, foggy mornings and coffee plantations on the Ghat Road. There is no single landmark: the experience is the drive and the air. Most travellers stop for a few hours on the way to or from Araku Valley.
