Lagosa
Only stop here if you are catching the MV Liemba ferry to or from Mahale Mountains National Park. One night maximum; there is nothing else to do.
Lagosa is a tiny, remote village on the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. It exists almost solely as a stop on the MV Liemba ferry route. The only reason to come is to transfer to or from Mahale Mountains National Park. Roads are unpaved and impassable south of the centre. English is barely spoken; basic Swahili helps. There is one very basic guesthouse, a few stores selling essentials, and a beach. You cannot spend money here because there is almost nothing to buy. One night is enough.

- SIM and data
- Vodacom, Airtel, Yas (Tigo) and Halotel sell SIMs at airports; registration takes fingerprints and a passport.

- Plugs
- Types D, G · 230 V · 50 Hz · UK three-pin is most common; some older round-pin sockets.
