Labrador City

Labrador City is a mining town of about 7,200 people on the Quebec border and the main overland gateway into Labrador. It is not a sightseeing town: the reasons to stop are the Trans-Labrador Highway, winter skiing and snowmobiling, and the fact that the next hospital east is 288 km away in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Plan one night, two if you arrive by air and want to ski or ride.
