Stay 1 night as a bridge-to-Skye base or a rail terminus stop; skip the village itself as a destination — there are no sights.
Kyle of Lochalsh is a 590-person village on the mainland side of the Skye Bridge, at the end of the Inverness railway line. It has no visitor attractions of its own; its value is as a bed base for Skye, Plockton, Eilean Donan and the Kintail hills, and as the place where the train meets the bus to Portree. Two trains a day from Inverness, two Citylink coaches a day from Glasgow, one road in and out.

Get around
The village is small enough to walk end to end in about 15 minutes. The Skye Bridge has pavements on both sides, so you can walk or cycle across to Eilean Bàn and Kyleakin. Car hire is based at the railway station; a local taxi firm is on Station Road. No local bus links the village to the bridge.
