Kutná Hora
Go as a day trip from Prague (about 1 h by train) or one night; see the ossuary and St Barbara's, then leave. Two nights only if you add Sedlec and the mines.
Kutná Hora is a former silver-mining town 1 hour from Prague, protected by UNESCO for its historic centre, the Church of St Barbara and the Cathedral of Our Lady at Sedlec. The two headline sights sit at opposite ends of town, so most visitors do it as a day trip; one night lets you see it without the tour buses.

Kutná Hora is a small, low-crime town and safe to walk by day. The real risks are uneven cobbles, the dark walk between the two sights after dusk, and pickpockets on the crowded Prague train.
