Kujawsko-Pomorskie is a mid-northern voivodeship split between Kujawy south of the Vistula and the Chełmno Land to the north-east. Toruń is the sight-heavy Gothic brick town and the reason most travellers stop; Bydgoszcz is bigger, has the airport and the Brda riverfront. The two are about 45 minutes apart by train, so pick one bed and day-trip the rest — Chełmno, Kruszwica, Biskupin and Żnin are all reachable without a car.
