Kuchesar
Skip Kuchesar unless you want a quiet heritage resort night near Delhi: one night is enough, and the village itself has little else.
Kuchesar is a small village in western Uttar Pradesh, 2 hours from Delhi, best known for the Kuchesar Fort — a restored 18th-century Jat fort turned heritage hotel. The village has no other sights of note, so the trip is really about the resort: a pool, Mughal-style courtyards, and rural walks. Most visitors come for one night as a weekend escape from Delhi.

Scams and watch-outs
- No ATMs or shops in the village: bring cash and supplies from Delhi.
- The fort resort is the only reason to come; without a booking, there is little to do.
- Check if the fort is open to non-guests for meals or visits — it is primarily a hotel.
Kuchesar is a quiet village with low crime. The main risk is heat in summer and mosquitoes near the fort's gardens. Bring repellent.
