Krujë
Go for one night, or as a half-day from Tirana: the bazaar and castle take 3–4 hours on foot, and buses run hourly from Tirana.
Krujë is a small mountain town 31 km north of Tirana, built around a 17th-century bazaar and the castle where Skanderbeg held off the Ottomans for 25 years. Almost everything sits on one walkable street, so one night is enough; most people visit as a day trip from Tirana.
