Krishnagiri
Skip Krishnagiri as a base: it's a transit town on the Bangalore–Chennai highway with no railway station and limited sights. Half a day is enough to see the fort and move on.
Krishnagiri is a market town in northern Tamil Nadu, 90 km from Bangalore airport. It has a hill fort, a few temples and a bus station, but no railway connection and few tourist facilities. Most travellers pass through on the way to Hosur, Dharmapuri or the hill stations of the Eastern Ghats.
