Konnagar
কোন্নগর
Konnagar is a half-day stop on the Hooghly riverbank: see the 12 Shiva temples at Baro Mandir Ghat and Abanindranath Tagore's house, then move on to Serampore or Chandannagar.
Konnagar is a small town on the Hooghly River, 20 minutes by train from Kolkata. Its main draws are the row of 12 Shiva temples at Baro Mandir Ghat and the former residence of painter Abanindranath Tagore.
