Komagane
駒ヶ根市
Spend a half‑day to a full day in Komagane for the ropeway and short hikes; stay only if you plan Alpine trekking.
Komagane is a small city of about 30 000 people at the foot of the Chūō Alps. The main draw is the Komagatake Ropeway (7‑minute ascent) and easy access to mountain trails. With a single day you can ride the ropeway, walk part of the Alpine trail and sample local cuisine. Overnight stays are useful only for longer hikes.
