Kolenchery
Skip Kolenchery as a destination: it is a roadside town on the highway 27 km east of Kochi, with no major sights. Use it only as a transit stop or if visiting Kadamattom church.
Kolenchery is a fast-growing satellite of Kochi on National Highway 49, known locally for its contractors and real estate. It has no tourist attractions of its own; the only reason to stop is the 6th-century St. George's Church in nearby Kadamattom, famous for its Indo-Persian architecture and legends of the Kadamattom Kattanar. Most travellers should pass through or stay in Kochi.
