Klamath Falls is a small Southern Oregon city at the south end of Upper Klamath Lake, in the Klamath Basin. It is the practical base for Crater Lake National Park, about 97 km north, and a stop on Amtrak's Coast Starlight. The town itself is a half-day: a museum, a downtown park, a geothermal pool. Come for the lake, the birds and the park, not the city.
