Kitzbühel
Go for 2–3 nights in winter if you ski; in summer a half-day stop is enough to see the old town and ride the cable car.
Kitzbühel is a world-famous ski resort in Northeast Tyrol, known for the Hahnenkamm downhill race. In winter it draws skiers and snowboarders; in summer it offers hiking, mountain biking and a compact old town. Most visitors come for the slopes and stay 2–3 nights, but a half-day stop works for the cable car and a walk through the medieval centre.
