The Kitsap Peninsula is a near-island west of Seattle, reached by state ferry or by driving the Tacoma Narrows or Hood Canal bridges. Towns sit 20–60 minutes apart and each ferry terminal has buses, so you can visit without a car. Sleep in Bainbridge Island or Bremerton for Seattle access, Poulsbo or Kingston for the north, Gig Harbor for Tacoma-side food and the Narrows bridge.
