Kibungo
Spend 1–2 days in Kibungo: a half‑day market walk, a quick visit to the cathedral, and optional banana‑wine coop or Lake Mugesera trip.
Kibungo is a small commercial hub in Rwanda’s Eastern Province, 100 km southeast of Kigali. Its compact centre lets you see the market and cathedral on foot in a few hours, while nearby banana‑wine cooperatives and Lake Mugesera offer easy half‑day excursions. One night is enough for a relaxed stay; add a second night for the lake or coop visit.
