Kenora is the westernmost city in Ontario, sitting on the northern tip of Lake of the Woods, a lake with more than 14,000 islands. It is a cottage-country town of about 15,000 people where the water, not the streets, is the point. Two nights covers the town and one lake day; most travellers pass through on the Trans-Canada Highway between Winnipeg and Thunder Bay.
