Kendubillo
কেন্দুবিল্ব
Visit Kendubillo as a half-day stop from Santiniketan or Bolpur for the Radhabinod Temple and the January fair; one night only if you want the fair's full atmosphere.
Kendubillo (Jaydev Kenduli) is a small temple town on the Ajay River, believed to be the birthplace of the 12th-century poet Jayadeva. Its main draw is the Radhabinod Temple with fine terracotta work and the annual Poush Sankranti fair (mid-January) that attracts baul singers. Most travellers visit from nearby Santiniketan or Bolpur as a day trip.
