Get around
A car is effectively required: hotels, malls and parks sit along I-10, Grand Parkway (TX 99) and SH 6 with long gaps between them. Metro buses (39 Katy Freeway) and weekday-only park-and-ride routes (221, 222, 228, 229, 298) link parts of Katy with downtown Houston, but nothing runs on weekends and stops are far apart. Biking works only for short hops inside a subdivision.
