Half a day is enough to see the cliff village and walk the main lane; most visitors come from Tabriz as a day trip. One night at the rocky hotel if you want the quiet after the buses leave.
Kandovan is a living village carved into volcanic tuff, often compared to Cappadocia but still inhabited. The main attraction is the cliff dwellings themselves, a short walk from the car park. You can see the whole place in two to three hours, then eat and head back to Tabriz or Osku.
