Jingzhou is a prefecture-level city on the middle Yangtze in Hubei, capital of the State of Chu for over 400 years and a Three Kingdoms stronghold. The draw is the Ming-Qing city wall, still walkable and free, plus a museum whose Eastern Zhou and Qin-Han finds are the reason to come. Most sights sit inside or beside the old city, so one night covers it; two if you add the Chuwang chariot pits or Fantawild.
