Jimeta
Jimeta is a half-day stop, not a base: see the market, eat grilled fish, then sleep in Yola or move on. One night is enough if you arrive late.
Jimeta is the commercial twin of Yola, the Adamawa State capital. The two towns form a single metropolis. Jimeta's main draw is the Ultra Modern Market, one of the largest in the state. The area is conservative, with a Muslim majority, so alcohol is restricted. Most travellers use it as a stop between Yola and destinations like Numan or Mubi.
