Jimbaran
Sleep in Jimbaran only if you want a resort or villa base 10–15 min from the airport; otherwise day-trip for the beach seafood at sunset.
Jimbaran is a fishing village that turned into Bali's resort belt: five-star hotels and villa ridges above a calm white-sand bay, plus about fifty grilled-seafood restaurants set on the sand in three clusters. There is almost no budget bed stock and little nightlife, so most travellers come for one sunset dinner or stay put in a resort for two or three nights.

Get around
Walking works along the beach and the Jl Uluwatu strip, but the bay is long and the villa ridges are steep. Ride-hailing apps and metered taxis are cheap for short hops; scooters are rented widely — check the brakes and wear a helmet. The Jl Bypass Ngurah Rai links the airport, Kuta and Nusa Dua; Jl Uluwatu runs south to Uluwatu Temple.
