Jhalong
झोलोङ
Go for a half-day or one-night birding stop between Kalimpong and the Dooars. The village itself is quiet; the draw is the Jaldhaka River and the forest birds.
Jhalong is a small village on the Jaldhaka River near the Bhutan border, popular with birders for its hill birds and migratory waterfowl. It works as a short stop between Kalimpong and the Dooars, not a base. Most visitors combine it with Bindu, Jaldhaka and Paren.
