Jacobabad
Skip Jacobabad unless you are a climate researcher or a railway enthusiast: one hour is enough to see the Victoria Tower and John Jacob's grave; the heat is extreme.
Jacobabad is one of the hottest places on earth, regularly exceeding 37°C mean summer temperature and occasionally hitting a wet-bulb temperature of 35°C where the human body can no longer cool itself. The city has a handful of colonial-era sights — the Victoria Tower (1888), John Jacob's grave and a neglected tomb of Muslim British soldiers — plus a decorated mosque 11 km southwest. Most travellers pass through on the Karachi–Quetta railway line and do not stop.
