Ipperwash Beach
Go for one beach day or a two-night camping stay in Jul–Aug; skip it as a sightseeing base — you need a car for everything beyond the sand.
Ipperwash is a freshwater beach community on Lake Huron in Lambton Shores, about 60 km from Sarnia and 76 km from London. The beach is long and shallow, good for children, but most of the shoreline is private: use the five free public access points. There is no lifeguard and no town centre — bring a car, food and cash.
