Get around
Downtown and the main campus are walkable and joined at the middle. Iowa City Transit buses are free (program started 2023) and the university's Cambus is free and open to the public — the Red and Blue loops link Downtown and West Campus. Coralville Transit runs to Coralville for $1. Bicycling is common; a car helps for Coralville, Lake MacBride and the outlet malls.
