Inverigo
Skip Inverigo unless you have a car and a spare half-day for the cypress avenue and Villa La Rotonda from the outside.
Inverigo is a quiet Brianza village with a famous cypress avenue (Viale dei Cipressi) and the rotunda villa La Rotonda, but the castle is privately owned and closed to visitors. The main draw is the spring cypress bloom and the Stendhal connection. Most travellers should spend their Lake Como time on the lakefront towns.
