Interlochen
Half a day is enough: see the arts campus and hike the state park. Most visitors come from Traverse City (20 min) for a few hours or an overnight.
Interlochen is a small town 15 miles southwest of Traverse City, known for the Interlochen Center for the Arts and Interlochen State Park.
