Ikot Ekpene
Half a day is enough: see the Obo Annang market, buy cane furniture, then move on to Uyo or Aba. One night only if you're passing through on the coastal highway.
Ikot Ekpene is the rattan and basket capital of Akwa Ibom State, a trade town on the A342 highway between Calabar and Aba. The main draw is the Obo Annang International Market and the chance to buy locally woven cane furniture. Most travellers pass through in a few hours.
