Hunedoara is a steel town of about 60,000 people in the Cerna Valley, and almost everyone comes for one building: Corvin Castle, a Gothic-Renaissance fortress on a rock above the Zlaști stream. The centre is small and walkable, the castle is a 15-minute walk from it, and the rest of the city is ordinary. One night is enough; two only if you add Cinciș Lake or use it as a slow base for the county.
