Huludao
葫芦岛
Use Huludao as a 1–2 day stop between Beijing and Dalian, or a day-trip from Jinzhou for the Jiumenkou Great Wall and Xingcheng Ancient City.
Huludao is a coastal city in western Liaoning, best known for the Jiumenkou Great Wall section that crosses a river, and the well-preserved Ming-era Xingcheng Ancient City. Most sights are within an hour of the city centre, and the city itself is compact enough for a single overnight. It works as a break on the Beijing–Dalian rail corridor.
