Huai'an
淮安
Spend a half‑day to a full day in Huai'an; one day is enough to see the main museums and historic sites.
Huai'an sits on the Grand Canal in northern Jiangsu. Its compact centre lets you hit the water‑transport museum, a few historic yamen and pagoda sites, plus a theme park, in a single day. Good rail and bus links make it a convenient side‑trip from Nanjing or Shanghai.
