Hosur
ஒசூர்
Hosur is a half-day stop for the Chandra Choodeswarar Temple and Rajaji Memorial, or a convenient base for Bangalore's airport. One night is enough.
Hosur is an industrial town on Tamil Nadu's northern border, 40 km from Bangalore. It has two notable sights — an ancient Shiva temple with a golden chariot and the birthplace of C. Rajagopalachari — plus good access to Krishnagiri district. Most travellers use it as a transit point or a quiet alternative to Bangalore.
