Hesperia
Skip Hesperia unless you need a cheap bed on the I-15 between LA and Las Vegas: one night, no more.
Hesperia is a desert bedroom community on the Mojave River, 90 min north of downtown Los Angeles. It has no major sights, no walkable centre and the river is mostly dry. Most travellers use it as a budget overnight stop on the I-15 corridor to Las Vegas or Barstow. The city's main draw is proximity to the Mojave Narrows Regional Park and the Hesperia Lake Park, but neither justifies a detour.
